HealthTech Data Systems
Empowering Clients to Control Their Own Data
n the early 1990s, a database-savvy healthcare market research firm
suddenly found itself overwhelmed by technology. With a thorough CSG data
analysis and integration, the client no longer fears what the future has
in its technological store.
- Less reliance on external computer consultants
- More work performed in-house
- Easily accessible data
- Custom software that's adaptive to technology
The approximately 150 employees at this firm found themselves
in the company of many other firms today. Their technology no longer seemed
to be working for them as mountains of data continued to pile up. They
needed perspective. Even though they had
the know-how to make new software recommendations and even develop custom
software, they couldn't quite figure out how to get things back on track.
Chalem Systems Group was contracted to provide prospective.
CSG saw a
company with many different data sources across different departments.
These departments needed to share their information as a whole; the company
needed more than a technological Band-Aid. CSG began with thorough research
and ultimately designed a custom software program to fit
the client's needs.
With this software, the client relies less
often on external computer consultants -- which means the company saves
money as the work is performed in-house. And the data is easily accessible
while doing exactly what the client wants it to do. Ultimately, CSG helped
the client transition from a minicomputer database system to client/server
technology. They did this in an impressive amount of time, and even today
the technology adapts to fit the client's
needs. The impact? The client is in complete control of its growing data
and has entrusted CSG to develop and support additional custom software.
